If there's anything Farm House Local can do well, it is french toast. The blackberry coconut french toast was impeccable. I was a little scared at first of the coconut but it wasn't overpowering and I think served it's purpose well. The blackberry compote was so good -- no syrup needed! The latte I had was also delicious.

The service was great. The vibes in here are good -- make sure to come early to get a table if you have a smaller group because it will be packed! I also just love the location of this place, downtown Larkspur is so cute and is definitely worth the journey from the surrounding area to take a walk around downtown, go in some shops, and get some breakfast here.

Found this place on Yelp, and decided to try it due to the high ratings, but we were so disappointed. I ordered the French toast that was served colder than room temperature. I sent it back and was brought back a hot version. It was reasonably tasty, but the presentation was rather lack luster for the price. My wife had the Asian Salad that she was disappointed with and had me try. It was lacking in color, texture variation and flavor.

Service was pretty poor. We had two different people waiting on our table, but neither did any kind of check back to see if the food was good, or if we needed more coffee or water. When the food was not good, and we had been out of coffee and water for some time, I had to hunt down a staff member for service on each occasion. There was no sign of a manager or owner, which in my experience leads to what we had, a mediocre experience. Suggest that the owner with his stellar resume spend some time at his restaurant to get things back on track.

Farm House Local is a cute spot nestled in Marin County. We went here for breakfast on a sunday around 10:30 and were seated outside on the heated patio.

Food: Very good, simple breakfast food. I liked the homemade touches like the fresh jam for the toast and the hot sauce. Also highly recommend the lemon tarte.

Service: Very casual. Ordered a coffee twice and it failed to come both times. Finally I asked again and mentioned it had been forgotten and it came. We were served by many different people and had to flag them down most times. Not a huge deal at a casual breakfast spot, but very hands off service.

Stopped by for brunch on a Sunday. The place was busy but we were seated promptly.
We got a selection of brunch dishes and enjoyed all of them.
We started off with the gumbo, which was flavorful and hearty but not large enough as a lunch portion. We got the Chinese cabbage salad, which they were open to serving with grilled chicken instead of the usual boiled chicken. The dressing on this salad was a fresh tangy flavor which we especially loved. We also had the Salmon Nicoise salad which was served on a bed of greens with cherry tomatoes, green beans and roasted purple potatoes in a mustard dressing. A friend got the pastrami sandwich which came with a side salad and pickle that they enjoyed. We ended it with delicious tiramisu made with Bicycle coffee for the perfect sweet kick to end a good meal.
The service was spotty, but maybe that was because they were so busy. This is definitely a place I'll come back for more with family and friends!

I ordered breakfast to go from here and it was amazing! I got the chilaquiles and a scone. They were both so good and a large portion. The chilaquiles had good flavor with potatoes, tomatoes, and tortilla chips. I really liked how the tortilla chips were bit size.

The restaurant was super cute. The area and town the restaurant in too is adorable. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area!

A small and cozy place to have breakfast or brunch. The food is filling, but light. The biscuits in the biscuits and gravy were light and not dense. The mushroom soup was delicious. The French toast was nice and custard like in the center. Love the coffee with refills. The service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back for more.

Blackberry and coconut French toast was very good with the ricotta and blackberry sauce. Just wished it was lighter. The egg definitely made it very dense and heavy.

Always busy, so service can be spotty. Excellent atmosphere and parking, though wooden floors makes conversation challenging. Went for brunch with friends who were pleased. I had Homemade Biscuits with Chicken-Apple Sausage Gravy; Poached Eggs, Creamed Spinach; very disappointed in flavor, presentation, balance of wet/dry. We'd been before with good experiences but I wouldn't recommend.
