Drury Inn & Suites San Antonio Near La Cantera Parkway

I spent this past weekend here for my birthday weekend. For the most part, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I ended up staying in a deluxe king suite with an oversized terrace. The view I got was beautiful, just as I imagined. The room itself was mostly clean with a few small dirty spots, which, to me, wasn't a big deal. As long as the mattress itself is clean and comfortable, I don't have any complaints.

The only thing wrong with the room was the shower head in our bathroom. I went to go take a shower, the water was spraying everywhere, including the ceiling. Hopefully, yall can get that replaced and fixed. Otherwise, nothing else was wrong with the room.

The service was incredible, and the front desk staff was accommodating and very nice. Since it's my 1st time in a Drury Hotel, they told me about their kickback, which starts at 5:30 pm every day. You get up to 3 free alcoholic drinks every day that you stay there. Also, they had unlimited free soda and popcorn anytime of day. Free breakfast and dinner every day. All that were a big.plus for me.

They also have a small gym and an indoor pool and jacuzzi as well. Despite the construction that was happening, I will return.

Stayed here in 2010 and 2011. Fast forward to 2024.

The freshly remodeled two room queen suite that we checked into was very clean the first night. We liked the decor, and it had some San Antonio themed artwork, including a picture of the river walk. The last time we stayed here.The complimentary kickback included a better menu selection.

The complimentary breakfast is pretty much the same as it used to be and is a nice touch. They don't seem to handle the large crowds very well, and there's really not enough food to go around. Also, the seating is limited in the dining area. It basically forces you to bring food back up to your room, meanwhile getting the evil eye from employees.

The popcorn machine and drink fountain could use good cleaning and sanitation. The popcorn tasted rancid, and my wife noticed some mold on the drink fountain.

The second morning housekeeping did not do a good job of cleaning our room and actually left bed linens on the fold out sofa. There was garbage on the carpet. She did not replace enough towels or toiletries. When we first arrived, there were not enough toiletries either or towels. When I called to the front desk.I felt like I was talking to a lawyer at a deposition just to get another roll of toilet paper. I don't know why hotels don't put trash can liners... kind of nasty that they use empty containers.

The on-site cover parking is a nice detail to have.But we noticed that the higher the level, the bigger the accumulation of trash. We would recommend management to do a thorough cleaning of the parking area.Also coach the housekeeping to consistently clean the room every day during someone's day.

I would suggest that for the complimentary food that is given to have cafeteria style with to go containers instead of the buffet style. People become very abusive and don't leave enough food for other guests, which is what happened to us on both mornings.They were pretty much out of food by 9 a m. Especially on the weekend, there are large crowds that are filling up before going to the area attractions.

We more than likely will stay here again in the future and give it a solid 4. If they improve the suggested items, we will be glad to adjust and give it a 5. Overall, it is recommended and we suggest it as an accommodation while you are in San Antonio.

Every 5-star review you see with the current management & staff is true! Thus hotel is well remodeled, clean, and kept! Indoor poor and hot tub were maintained & and added bonus.

All of the staff that we interacted with were genuinely helpful and professional, and we asked a lot of them- including a last minute pack n play, a measuring tape to check our kids' heights for local rides, and they've even thought of the minute details like plastic cups outside the pool area to ensure guest feel comfortable swapping glasses w their free bar drinks!
Keep up the drink vouchers that we experienced during our stay!
We sincerely hope employees are being well compensated for their cheerful and accommodating attitudes! The staff are definitely the highlight of this hotel!

Pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our stay at this location. Our room was pretty clean, the parking wasn't crowded, the hotel front desk were friendly and accommodating.

Free drink cards and dinner at a certain time of the day. Loved the options of food and drinks. Would definitely stay in another Drury Hotel in the future!

The room wasn't ready when we arrived, we had to wait a long time.
The front desk team was helpful and we waited in the lobby, but definitely expected the room to be ready.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. The staff, rooms, dinning, pool, parking, & price were amazing. Definitely will book next time I'm in San Antonio and other places that have a Drury hotel.

Staff was super friendly. Pool was warm/ cozy, didn't need to bring towels due to them already being in there. Breakfast, dinner & complimentary drink was a cherry on top. Helps when traveling by saving on fast food. Clean room!

Enjoyed our weekend stay here. I really feel safe that our vehicle was parked inside a gated garage. The hotel is connected to Applebee's. The staff were friendly and helpful from the front desk, housekeeping and people who work at breakfast and happy hours.

I am currently at this hotel after being in airports for the last two days due to flight delays. I am sleepy and my back hurts. My plan was to sleep. Instead, I am awakened to a barking dog. I call the desk and they say someone will come up. The dog continues so I call back. The next person doesn't know what I am talking about but says that I can move to another floor. So now I have to repack all my things and miss my rest because someone has a barking dog and that is clearly okay. I understand that people travel with pets but why am I being punished. It will take me more than one trip since I ordered food and have drinks now that won't fit in my bag. There was no offer of assistance or a rack to carry my things all at once. I travel a lot. This may be my first time at this chain (maybe second). It will probably be my last. The sad part is it started well. The young lady who checked me in was friendly the kitchen staff was nice. Then this happened. So disappointed

We had a very great stay! The free breakfast & 530 kickstart with free drinks & food was awesome! The employees were very visible & asked how things were. Pool, spa & workout room were nice amenities. We also enjoyed the trails just outside the hotel parking lot. Parking garage made us feel more secure. We also visited the Applebees next door one evening & enjoyed karaoke there. It was our first stay at Drury but definitely not our last! Thanks!
