Q:
I was at the restaurant last sunday and loved the food and the ambiance. The cafe had an 'at home' feeling. I have a lot of plates and glasses that i would like to donate and was wondering if you would like them and if so, how i can get them to you?

We would appreciate it! You can drop at either location during open hours - thank you so much

Bacon and eggs were average but those breakfast potatoes delicious and the apple pecan pancakes amazing. I waited almost 2 hrs to be seated but the service I received from Mark made it all worth it I totally appreciate the cause and hope that the people living at SerenityStar Recovery get the help and support they need

(Bandera Road location) First thing I noticed was the ambiance; it was very welcoming and personified the word Comfort: homey, warm, authentic, sent a clear message of peace, love and acceptance.
Next thing I noticed was the service; Jorge or server was amazing. He was so happy when we told him it was our first time there and explained the concept and mission statement behind The Comfort Cafe. Such a beautiful cause.
The food, man the food was well beyond expectation. I ordered the Mixed Berry Stuffed French Toast and it was out of this world! Hearty portion (I only ate half). I ordered a side of scrambled eggs, home style potatoes and bacon (equally delicious). Our whole table agreed that the food was great.
Give them a go. You will not be disappointed.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Akesa T.Annandale, VA2632760Mar 23, 2024
Texas-sized breakfast that gives back to the community. It was my first time here. My friend picked me up straight from the airport and brought me to Comfort Cafe. Parking fills up fast so plan ahead.
We had breakfast and as I stated the portions are big. How big? Texas-style.
Service is quick and the servers are humble and kind. The ambiance is giving rainforest meets ranchers vibes. The food is delicious.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - colleen w.Thousand Oaks, San Antonio, TX041Mar 20, 2024
To say Comfort Cafe is goated would be an understatement. Literally everything we had was so good, I opted for the cinnamon roll pancakes and it was everything. We also tried the cheesy hash brown casserole and potatoes which were soooo yum.
The service was amazing and just the fact that everything goes back to helping people and their sobriety program makes me want to come back asap. Can't recommend this place enough!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Mar 29, 20243 check-ins
My PIC and I love coming to the Comfort Cafe. Their breakfast choices are my regular go to on the menu. Particularly the rise and shine with the huge martini glass full of greek yogurt, honey, granola, blueberries and strawberries. It's super filling especially since it's paired with two eggs, your choice of meat, and a muffin. My honey chose the Easter special which included sliced ham, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes and cornbread. Food aside, you really can't go wrong with supporting their cause either. Service is always with a smile and although it can get a little loud, my PIC and I still found a way to have a nice intimate conversation during breakfast.

We loved this little oasis tucked into the woods. The atmosphere was so quaint, and we loved our time here. There's a little cafe downstairs where you can order yummy specialty coffees. Our service was amazing, our server was personable and dealt with our large party of 16 very well. The food looked incredible and tasted amazing. It gets busy on the weekends so come early or remember to put your name on the yelp waitlist in advance if you don't want to wait a while.

First off don't worry when you first go to the GPS address you feel like you're going into a park yes, keep going keep going straight and you'll run into the parking area where you will go that lead you to the actual restaurant.
Right off this is an amazing ambience beautiful location great atmosphere. We did pre-register online for our reservation. Highly recommend doing that because it's very very sold out location during the weekend.
Highly recommend getting the my absolute favor was the Thai coffee I would consider just ordering that myself, but its own . we ordered entrées and my favorite was the churro stuffed waffles. Amazing a must try.
Please be generous make sure you are at least donating $15 minimum. We did $20 per plate plus a $20 tip overall we gave $100 not including the coffee the coffee you purchased downstairs separately which we also offered them $100 donation. the money is going for a good cause consider that when you are offering your donation.
I will go to this location again I am so happy that we came here during our visit to San Antonio !!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Irene O.Cibolo, TX195136Apr 19, 20241 check-in
Los Patios location off the 410. First timer, went on a Friday morning when they first opened and got seated quick.
Opted to sit outside and our wait staff Jorge was great. We were not aware that Comfort Cafe was a Non-profit and Jorge pointed out that there were no prices on the menu. You pay what you want. He explained the Organization which made us eager to order.
Portions were definitely large enough to even share and pretty good.
Food was quick to come out and service was great. We will always support organizations like this.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
