1618 Asian Fusion

Visiting from San Diego. Yelped and found this spot from Yelped like I usually do. Another successful hit as 1618 Asian Fusion hit the spot. Started off with the fried calamari. Good crust and awesome tangy coconut dip. We had a small plate of filet mignon pad see ew - great flavor/sweetness of the sauce. We had the chicken dumplings which also good. I myself had the Pho Rib, and it was a treat. I enjoyed every bite! And then for the finale we had the Flambeau cheesecake. I usually like plain cheesecake but the wifey convinced me otherwise, and so glad she did. With the ice cream and liqueur vanilla honey flavor (can't taste the liqueur as they burn it off before serving), it's amazing. Stop by. Oh and we were able to get in at a good time as a walk in. They do take reservations and maybe recommended.

We've been here a couple times the food is always incredible. There's nowhere in Austin like it the service and ambiance is always incredible.
We had Shaira today and she was super quick, polite and just amazing.

Food: This is one of my favorite spots in austin for asian food. they have amazing xiao long baos and dimsum options. the salted egg lava buns are delicious too! you really cant go wrong with anything you order. the peking duck is good and their duck curry was so rich and filled with tender duck.

service: great service, nice staff, not a long wait for the food.

Ambiance: great ambiance, perfect for a date or even something casual. overall 1618 is great!

I have had food here three more times and enjoyed it thoroughly. They make delicious Hanoi pho - my favorite in Austin and probably ever in the US. I am from Hanoi so this is the closest Pho has tasted to Hanoi's style to me so far. I always get the brisket, along with another cut of meat (filet mignon) and steamed bean sprouts.

Their salmon in banana leaf is to die for - so flavorful with a little kick of spices: lemon grass, red pepper and coconut milk. It has a curry soupy consistency and served with rice - so so tasty. They have live music on Thursday night when we came which lent itself to a very nice ambiance.

One of my favorite restaurants in Austin!

1618 is hands down my ride or die.

Their service is top notch and I absolutely enjoyed everything on the menu. I've been to 1618 countless times and have never been disappointed. Austin is still growing so it lacks good Asian restaurants compared to bigger cities but I think 1618 is one of Austin's few gems.

When you enter this place, it feels very modern and the vibe was sort of like a quiet club / bar setting. There was a violinist who was playing that night. Very good composition and sound.

Overall, this place was magnificent, really excellent dining experience. Our server, Marvy was very helpful and gave great service. All the dishes tasted really incredible.

The next time I go back would be for the soup dumplings everyone is talking about.

What an amazing find in ATX! Located "across the river" (from downtown) in an unexpected spot (under condos) it was a pleasant surprise. We made reservations for Wednesday evening. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted and taken to our table. It was hopping in there! Our waitress, Shaira, was so sweet and knowledgeable of the menu. Super efficient and quick, too!

Parking - easy. Has its own lot as it's in a shopping strip under condos.

Food! We started with the chicken dumplings. OMG! These were outstanding. They had somewhat of a crust on them which was buttery and delightful, it looked like cheese. For mains we split Pineapple Fried Rice (it's shrimp and duck) and Chicken Pad Thai. Delicious but spicy! The presentation of all were beautiful.

I loved this place and highly recommend for an Asian option in ATX.

Okay this place is #17 in the US for a reason! Phenomenal meal, phenomenal service! I feel like all has been said about how great the food is, so I just want to compliment our server Lily! She started our meal off with a literal bang and gave us a memorable evening! When you're balling out on food, you want great service to pair with it and she knocked it out of the park. Will absolutely be coming back!

Btw, of the like 10 things we tried from the menu, the soup dumplings were truly my favorite. I'll be dreaming about those for a while

On a trip with some friends for the weekend and we found this gem when I said I wanted dim sum. It was the favorite of the entire weekend not only because of the food but also because of the incredible service and excellent care we got while dining here. We loved our server. We loved the food. We got to sit outside and that was a fab vibe and the cocktails were on point! What a great place and a super way to end our weekend.
