Student Health Services Fees

Undergraduate Students

The WPI Health and Wellness fee is paid by all fulltime undergraduate students and covers all services directly available at WPI Student Health Services. Students are responsible for the cost of laboratory tests, imaging, and prescription medications, along with any other expenses incurred when referred to an off-campus medical office or hospital. Undergraduate students are advised to call their health insurance provider to inquire about the cost of the services listed above that are not covered by the WPI Health and Wellness Fee. This fee is not connected to the student health insurance plan. A student can waive the student health insurance plan but will still pay the health fee and have access to WPI Student Health Services.

Graduate Students

Graduate students are not required to pay the health fee since many already have, and are, using outside medical providers of their own choosing. If you are a graduate student and wish to be seen at WPI Student Health Services for medical care of acute illness or injury, please call the WPI Bursar’s Office and pay request to pay the Health and Wellness Fee, or you can complete the following online form. After paying the health fee you can then call WPI Student Health Services to schedule an appointment for an evaluation. If you choose to not pay the health fee, we encourage you to call the customer services number on the back of your health insurance card to help you find a primary care provider, or you can call WPI Student Health Services to assistance with finding the care you need.
