We offer a variety of testing options for both students and community members.

SHORTCUTS

Laptop checkout through Bierce Library

Currently enrolled students can access laptops through >Bierce Library and our Department of Information Technology Services. How to check out a laptop.

Admissions and Standardized Testing Programs

The Counseling & Testing Center offers testing programs including the ACT or Residual ACT, SAT, LSAT, MPRE, GRE-Subject, MAT and many more.

Psychological and Vocational Testing

Psychological and Vocational Testing for currently enrolled University of Akron students, including ADHD and Learning Disorder Assessments, are available at the Counseling & Testing Center.

English Language Institute Testing

The English Language Institute offers U-ADEPT and ELI-ASSET to assess English Language ability of University of Akron Students.

Placement Testing for University of Akron Students

The University of Akron uses placement testing to help determine the first courses, based on ACT/SAT scores and major, for students who are new to the University of Akron. The links for Foreign Language assessments and Accommodations will redirect to those offices specifically.

Alternative Credit Options for University of Akron Students

University of Akron Course Testing

Computer-Based Assessment and Evaluation in Schrank Hall North 152 administers testing for University of Akron courses that offer computer-based exams.

Counseling & Testing Center can assist with scheduling paper or computer make-up testing for courses.

The Office of Accessibility offers assistance to students seeking accommodations with test proctoring options and courses.
