Olympic Figure Skater and World Silver Medalist
Boasting more than 30 years in both amateur and professional figure skating, Elizabeth Manley was the first Canadian female to successfully land a triple-double combination jump in competition. She has participated in two Olympic Games (where she won the 1988 silver medal and became the Olympic freestyle champion), six World Championships, and has won three National Titles. Reliving her incredible journey for audiences, Manley gives a behind-the-scenes glimpse into what it takes to make it to the top and speaks with honesty about the importance of mental health.

Carolyn Vandyken is a physiotherapist, researcher, educator and advocate for pelvic health.  Graduating from McMaster University in 1987, Carolyn has 32 years’ experience as a clinician.    She has published numerous framework articles and studies in peer-reviewed journals, speaks extensively at international conferences, and has authored several chapters in textbooks on central sensitization and pelvic pain.  She practices at PhysioWorks Muskoka in Huntsville.

Maureen, a 9/11 widow is the founding director of the Canadian Coalition Against Terror. The Canadian National Day of Service Foundation was established in January 2013 with the aim of building activities to recognize and leverage the spirit of volunteerism in Canada.  We are a charitable foundation whose purpose is to honor and celebrate Canadians who serve their communities in official and unofficial ways. What sort of power is locked away in a secret? Why do we keep them and what happens when we tell them? In this talk, Christine challenges us to experiment with exploring and harnessing the power of secrets in our lives.
