Food Policy Action Council

Policy is power.

New Orleans Food Policy Action Council (NOLA FPAC) is a broad-based coalition of individuals, organizations, communities and businesses working together to support equitable food and agriculture policy.

Campaigns (Policy Advocacy)

NOLA FPAC advocates for equitable policy on local, state and federal levels. Policy advocacy includes technical and communication assistance, seminars, one-on-one meetings, bill tracking, and disaster planning.

Working Groups

Much of the core work of NOLA FPAC takes place in working groups with specific food area focuses. NOLA FPAC currently operates Food Access, Business Development, Food Production, and Seafood Working Groups.

Programs

The programs of NOLA FPAC are guided by monthly committee meetings. Committees meet to discuss strategy, implementation, recommendations, and logistics in accordance with NOLA FPAC’s role as a policy advisory body.

“Food is our common ground, a universal experience."
