This FREE event features a variety of vendors, food trucks, and educational booths for the entire family to enjoy. There will also be live entertainment from Fungi Mungle and Pro Wrestling Legacy.

ESD is responsible for providing a wide range of services to the residents of El Paso, like garbage and curbside recycling collections, landfill operations, air quality monitoring, and vector control, among other services to help keep our community clean and beautiful.
El Paso residents (no commercial business/contractors) can take their trash, household hazardous waste, and bulky items to one of five public drop-off locations. Trash is collected at the Citizen Collection Stations and then taken to the Greater El Paso Landfill for disposal.
The Citizen Collection Stations also function as additional drop-off sites for recyclables, a place to borrow tools for landscaping, a resource for free paint, mulch, and gently used household products. No construction or demolition material is accepted (includes household and commercial waste).

Disabled and senior citizens are eligible for two types of services if they meet certain requirements. Apply for a Sidedoor Collection for those who are unable to place bins at curbside, or apply for a Senior/Disability Discount.
If you would like to take your trash directly to the Greater El Paso Landfill, the details are below. Haulers do require a hauler permit in order to deliver loads to the landfill.

The AQP conducts air pollution control activities (enforcement) and monitors ambient air in the City in order to comply with state and federal laws, such as the Clean Air Act. The AQP is funded by several air quality grants from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the City of El Paso.
The MonOps team is tasked with the daily operation and maintenance of the City’s four air monitoring stations and four TCEQ monitoring stations. Ambient air monitoring is conducted to verify compliance with the federal Clean Air Act for several air pollutants that include: ground level ozone, particulate matter, sulfur dioxide, and carbon monoxide. MonOps is also responsible for operating the Biowatch program which is the nation’s only system for early warning of an aerosolized biological attack.
The AQ Enforcement Team enforces state air quality rules in the City of El Paso and surrounding communities and acts as local contractors on behalf of TCEQ. Each officer receives training from TCEQ and the City on a regular basis in order to effectively investigate assigned cases and complaints submitted by members of the public.

The City of El Paso's Vector Control Program takes a proactive approach protecting the El Paso community and surrounding municipalities by controlling mosquitos. They also address concerns related to stagnant water and confirming possible rodent and select insect infestations (ticks and fleas, excluding bees).
