Kurt and Teresa Montle are owners along with Bob Prebe, (Owner, Principal Broker and Property Manager) managing residential and commercial properties within the Montle family rental portfolio and serving Buyers and Sellers of residential and commercial real estate. Kurt and Teresa Montle have a passion for historic homes and iconic buildings in Athens, Ohio.
With the residential and commercial properties within their investment portfolio, there is always a focus on updating historic properties to create high-quality residential and commercial rentals, specifically within uptown Athens and the near eastside neighborhood. The motivation is long-term and sustainable business investment, but more significantly, the Montles are always looking for ways to improve and maintain the neighborhood in which they personally reside.
Pilcher House, Our Office
Pilcher House
Built in the eighteen hundreds, it was used as a home, and has been leased to local businessmen for insurance and attorney offices. In the 1970s, the building housed the Ohio University Post newspaper and the Athenian OU yearbook offices.
Pilcher House was named in honor of Thomas Murray Drake Pilcher. He was born in the Athens vicinity in 1832. He became a cabinet-maker apprentice at the age of 16. He was a Second Lieutenant and later Captain. He assisted in recruiting Company H, Seventy-Fifth Ohio Volunteer Infantry.
