WELCOME TO THE VET


2023 Veterans Memorial Stadium Policies

  • Emergency Information 
    If a situation arises which requires evacuation of Veterans Memorial Stadium, we request your cooperation and assistance to exit the facility in an orderly manner. Once an evacuation announcement has been given please proceed to the nearest stairway or exit. Outside the stadium follow the directions of the event staff and do not attempt to re-enter the stadium. In the case of an adverse weather situation please seek immediate shelter.

    Prohibited Items
    Food, drink containers, bottles, artificial noise makers, cans, thermo-bottles, ice bags, ice chests, umbrellas, strollers, video cameras, large flags, weapons or any object deemed HAZARDOUS by stadium management. Game management personnel reserve the right to inspect patrons entering the stadium for the purpose of fan safety. All purses, backpacks or other bags must fit within the assigned seating area for each patron. Game management personnel reserve the right to inspect all bags and to prohibit oversize bags from admission to the stadium.

    Prohibited Behavior
    Examples of prohibited behavior include, but are not limited to, throwing of objects of any kind; demonstrating unruly behavior; attempting to enter the field of play; engaging in behavior that endangers the safety of student-athletes, coaches, officials or other guests; removing stadium turf; and/or taunting public service officials. Consequences for guests exhibiting prohibited behavior include, but are not limited to, loss of ticket buying privileges, ejection from the stadium, and/or arrest.

    Alcoholic Beverages
    Alcohol is sold within the venue. Only those who are of age and have proper identification are permitted to purchase alcohol. No outside alcohol is permitted. Beer will be available to purchase at five locations throughout Veterans Memorial Stadium (2 West Concourse, 2 North Plaza, 1 East Concourse).

    Upon providing proper identification at the point of sale, a band will be placed on the customer's wrist, identifying that individual is of legal drinking age.

    Customers are permitted to purchase no more than two beers at a time.

    Beer sales will be halted at the end of the third quarter.

    Sodexo Food Services, law enforcement personnel, and game management officials reserve to the right to refuse the sale of alcohol to anyone.

    Playing Field
    Guests may not enter the playing field at any time; before, during or after the game. VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED.

    Ticket Sales / Will Call / Gate Information 
    (6 p.m. Games)
    Tickets are sold on gameday at the following locations:
    Main Ticket Office (Tine Davis Fieldhouse) - 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
    Gate One - 1 p.m. until halftime
     
    (2:30 p.m. Games)
    Tickets are sold on gameday at the following locations:
    Main Ticket Office (Tine Davis Fieldhouse) - 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
    Gate One – 11 a.m. until halftime
     
    Will call will now be located at Gate One due to construction at Riddle-Pace Field; will call will be open from 1 p.m. until halftime for 6 p.m. games and 11 a.m. for 2:30 p.m. games.
     
    All gates open 90 minutes prior to kickoff, while the Stadium Club and Suites open two hours prior to kickoff.

    Mobile Ticketing
    Mobile ticketing and parking will be an option for fans to use on gameday.
     
    Ticket purchasers can manage their tickets on their smartphones by visiting TroyTrojans.com/tickets and logging into their account. It is strongly encouraged that all fans download their tickets before game day. Just prior to reaching the gates, fans will simply open their digital wallet on their smartphone, select their game tickets or parking passes, and hold their smartphone near the scanner.

    Pass Outs
    Pass outs are not permitted at Veterans Memorial Stadium

    Restrooms
    Restrooms are located on the East and West Concourse and the South end zone.

    First Aid
    In the case of an emergency, contact the usher or uniformed security officer nearest to your section. Paramedics will be available on both the East and West Concourse.

    Public Announcements
    Special announcements on the public address system are limited to medical and police emergencies. In addition, Veterans Memorial Stadium does not display birthday, anniversary or other personal messages on the scoreboard.

    Tobacco
    Troy University is a tobacco free campus. This includes vaping.

    Game Program
    Troy's GAMEDAY Program will be produced in a digital format only for the 2023 season; fans will be able to visit TroyTrojans.com/Programs to view each week's edition. 

    Shuttles
    Transportation Services sponsors game day shuttles from the local hotels to Veterans Memorial Stadium for all home football games. 
     
    Shuttles are available three (3) hours before kickoff. The shuttle will run this route continuously, approximately every fifteen minutes until kickoff. Return service to the hotels will begin immediately following the game and will run continuously for one (1) hour following the game.
     
    Drop off and pick up for the shuttle service at the stadium will be directly in front of the Alumni House on Highland Avenue. Pickup downtown is located on the Troy Square. 
     
    There is no cost for the shuttle, provided you ride from the hotel to the stadium. Drivers will issue a coupon to each rider for the return trip to the hotels.
     
    Printed Game Day Shuttle information is available at all hotels in the Troy area and can be obtained by asking the hotel attendant for the brochure.



TAILGATING POLICIES

Tailgating on Troy's campus is encouraged by all fans. The central hub for tailgating on gameday is Tailgate Terrace behind the outfield wall of Riddle-Pace Field and the South entrace to The Vet. Each game will feature a pregame concert, food trucks and a Kids Fun Zone all within the vicinity of Tailgate Terrace.

RV parking will be allowed with the appropriate parking pass and will remain at the Trojan Arena parking lot.

Corporate Tailgating Tents are available to be reserved on a limited basis on Tailgate Terrace for gameday. Please contact Steven Brown, rsbrown@troy.edu, for pricing and location information. Please note that all tailgate orders for Tailgate Terrace must be placed prior to game week.


TROJAN WALK

Trojan Walk will take place each week two hours and 15 minutes prior to kickoff in Tailgate Terrace.  


PARKING

All on-campus parking is reserved for members of the Trojan Warrior Club. Lots are assigned based on level of annual philanthropic donations to the Trojan Warrior Club. To find out more about parking please contact Gary Wilbert (gwilbert@troy.edu) or Walker Sandlin (bsandlin@troy.edu).

Single-game parking is available for purchase in Lot 5 for $30 by visiting TroyTrojans.com/FBTickets.

George Wallace Drive will CLOSE two (2) hours prior to kickoff until one (1) hour after the completion of the game from International Blvd. (traffic light at Charles Henderson High School) to Johnny Long Drive.
     - Fans with access to National Guard Armory Lot and North End Zone Lot will be granted access to those lots within the two-hour closure with the proper parking pass. ALL traffic to those lots MUST enter from the north end of George Wallace Drive – from Downtown/Elm Street, not Highway 231.

Handicap parking is located in the Troy University Rec Center Parking Lot; fans needing access to this lot must have a valid state issued handicap tag and access the lot via John M. Long Drive.

STUDENTS

What You Need to Get In and Where to Go
  • All students will enter through the student entrance next to Gate 1 at The Vet
  • Gates open 90 minutes prior to kickoff
  • Make sure that you bring your active Troy Student ID and show at the gate to get into The Vet each game
  • The student section is location in sections 109, 111, 113, and 115
  • The student section seats are first come first serve
Student Guest Tickets
  • Student guest tickets purchased for each game are for GA seating.  Students are allowed to sit in the GA seating with their guests.
  • Student guest tickets must be purchased prior to game day through the student's Troy University student portal or at the football box office prior to game day.  
Concessions
  • Behind the student sections, at Concession Stand 6, students are able to use their Flex Points to purchase food.
