Praise for The Language of Time!

Book on Alzheimer's, Caregiving, and Cherishing Time

In June of 2020, Ashley released her first book - a powerful and moving memoir of her experience as a caregiver to her mother who passed from early onset Alzheimer's at age 56.

Continuing to leverage the power of story to impact lives, The Language of Time is a real and honest expression of a daughter's sudden and unplanned journey as caregiver. It's a story of hope, courage, Alzheimer's, caregiving, and the unshakeable bond between a daughter and her mother. And it's a poignant reminder of the ever-passing moments of time with those we love.

You won’t be able to put this down, wonderful story of love and support.

I LOVED everything about this book! I really enjoy a story that makes you feel something. This is very much that. I laughed, cried and felt the raw emotion and authenticity of this journey. I couldn’t put it down. The author truly puts every step of her experience with her Mom’s early onset Alzheimer’s on the table. She shows how the disease affects her family and friends in different ways. My heart goes out to this woman for being so brave to tell her story with the good, bad and devastating moments. Bravo!

Powerful!

5 stars! Beautifully written! A daughter's undivided love for her mom who was dying a slow death. After reading the first ten pages, I could not put my Kindle down. I was captivated and wanted to read more. I resonated with every stage of Ashley's mom's journey to her death. My mom died a slow death from COPD. I was there when she took her last breath. So, I cried and found myself relating on so many levels with this memoir. When Ashley asked the question, what is time? I sat and reflected on the precious time I spent with my mom and how I wished I could have stopped the hands of time.

MUST read!

I’m half way done with the book but couldn’t wait any longer to write a review. Ashley has a way of grasping her audiences attention. I can envision and feel the memories as if I witnessed it in person. I am a hospice social worker who has a caseload of patients with Alzheimer’s and part of my job is to provide emotional support to the loved ones. This book gives a different perspective of how the families struggle. I don’t spend a lot of time with the families and I only get a glimpse of their life in the short time I am visiting. Ashley has opened my eyes to many things I’ve never experienced. I highly recommend this book for anyone who has a loved one with Alzheimer’s, works with patients with Alzheimer’s, or wants to learn more from the caregivers viewpoint.
