Did you get P-EBT funds in the past?
You will get your P-EBT funds on the P-EBT or EBT card you already have.
Check your P-EBT balance online (click “How Close Am I?” at the top to access) OR call the number on the back of your card to check your balance.
Got a P-EBT card in the mail?
Follow the steps below to activate and use your card.
No longer have your card?
If you no longer have your P-EBT card, request a new card.
How to Activate Your P‑EBT Card
Call the phone number on the back of the card:

Enter your P-EBT card number and follow the prompts
Create a PIN:
Enter the last 4 digits of your child's case number that was provided on the letter you got in the mail
Then enter the child’s date of birth using the 2 digit month + 2 digit day + 4 digit year
Example: April 6, 2005 = 04062005

Don’t have your case number? If you do not have the letter with your child’s case number on it, visit here to get your case number. You need the case number to activate/PIN your card.
Buy Food in the Store
Go to a Grocery or Corner Store
P-EBT can be used anywhere SNAP benefits are accepted, like grocery stores or smaller corner stores.
Look for signs that say “WE ACCEPT EBT / SNAP HERE.”
Find SNAP retailers near you here.
Pick what you want to buy
You can use P‑EBT to buy most fresh, canned, and frozen food items like:
Fresh fruits and vegetables
Meat, dairy and eggs
Rice, beans and dry goods
Seeds to grow your own plants

Pay with your card at the register
Remember your PIN number when you go to the store.
Swipe your card at the check-out counter like a debit card, but press the button for EBT.
Enter your PIN # on the number pad, then press Enter.
Enter how much money to apply to the P‑EBT card (you can also inform the clerk of the amount).
Check your receipt to make sure that the amount on the receipt is the same as the amount of your purchase.
Buy Food Online
You can use your P-EBT or EBT card to buy food online from Amazon, BJs, Daily Table, Stop & Shop, and Walmart, as well as ALDI, Hannaford, Price Chopper, Price Rite Marketplace, Stop & Shop and Wegmans via Instacart. Learn more at Mass.gov/SNAPonline.
