Hear Cali Goth Rockers Death Valley High's Electrifying New Song "Raise Hell"

Self-described "death disco" outfit aims to rouse devils with standalone single

San Francisco–based "death disco" outfit Death Valley High are kicking off 2020 in style, with a nine-stop tour launching tonight (January 3rd) in San Francisco, and a new song, the aptly titled "Raise Hell," which we're premiering right here right now. The single comes paired with a kinetic, oversaturated performance video. Watch and listen above, and check out DVH's January dates below.

"I got sick of hearing the misuse of the term 'witch hunt' and the ignorance just throwing it around," Death Valley High's Reyka Osburn says of the new song. "I started to imagine a scenario bridging physical and metaphysical uproar. 'Raise hell' usually means to rebel rouse, but in this instance, I actually mean to devil rouse."

"Raise Hell" is the latest in a string of cool releases from the band. Last year, Death Valley High dropped the unconventional EP Duel, which they described at the time as their "equivalent to the modern-age mixtape." Made up of half cover songs, half remixes, the EP saw the band pitting themselves against a range of different adversaries/collaborators in a series of "duel," as title puts it. Those guests include Chris Connelly (Revolting Cocks), Hanin Elias (Atari Teenage Riot) and, most notably, Deftones frontman Chino Moreno, who joined the group for a captivating take on Christian Death's goth classic "Cavity - First Communion." DVH teamed with Revolver last August to unveil that cover along with its moody music video.
