Prior to Southern - Willis comes to Southern after two years at Jefferson College in the St. Louis area ... At Jeffco, Willis helped lead his team to two conference championships, as well as a District and Regional title in 2018, leading up to an appearance in the JUCO World Series ... Willis prepped at Winnetonka HS where he was a four-year letter winner for the Griffins and coach Heath Lay ... He was a three-time All-State selection at catcher, while earning All-Conference honors four years ... he finished his senior season hitting .475 with 11 home runs ... Willis also was a member of the basketball and football teams at Winnetonka. 

Personal - Willis is the son of Paula and Brian Willis ... He is a health promotion major at Southern.
