Hi’ilei Developmental Screening Program

The Hawai’i State Department of Health’s Hi’ilei Developmental Screening Program is a free resource for families with young children up to age 5. A questionnaire will be sent to parents or caregivers at different ages of a child’s development so they can check on how children are developing.  If there are any concerns about a child’s development, our staff will follow up with resources and support.

Family Hui Hawaii

Family Hui Hawaii offers parenting support groups that are organized by your child’s age, so all of the families you meet in a Hui are going through similar experiences and parenting challenges. They offer research-based information on parenting and child development and even more importantly, provide a space where families can share their celebrations, hopes, dreams, and challenges while raising young kids. FREE Hui groups are offered in-person for 10 weeks, or virtually in single sessions. They also provide FREE parenting and child development workshops, developmental screening and text messages, and family events in the community.
