EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

The Board is committed to establishing and maintaining policies, procedures, and operating guidelines that maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of all district divisions. Policy updates and revisions are presented at each monthly Board meeting in compliance with the Board’s requirement that all policies are reviewed on an ongoing basis.

This policy was first presented to the Board for review in February 2021, and it was determined that this policy needed review in the Standard Track.

The following changes have been made to this policy:

• Overview of Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) in Fulton County Schools
• Definitions included
• Clarified the process of MTSS and what schools and teachers should follow
• Included clear communication guidance that should take place at Tier II and Tier III 
• Outlined reporting methods to the Board
