Louis Riddick, one of the most well-respected voices in the industry, currently serves as an NFL and college football analyst across ESPN and ABC. The former pro scout and director of pro personnel, who also played in the NFL, originally joined ESPN in May 2013 as an NFL Front Office Insider. In addition to his NFL on ESPN booth role alongside play-by-play Chris Fowler, analyst Dan Orlovsky and reporter Laura Rutledge, he also pairs with play-by-play Mark Jones and reporter Quint Kessenich on ABC/ESPN Saturday football games.

Riddick initially teamed with play-by-play voice Steve Levy and analyst Brian Griese, on September 9, 2019, when they helped kick off MNF’s 50th season and called the Denver Broncos-Oakland Raiders game for ESPN, and served as an MNF analyst starting in August 2020. Prior to joining the MNF booth, Riddick shared his insights on MNF halftime and postgame shows, on Monday Night Countdown’s main set, and called college football games on Friday nights alongside Dave Flemming and Paul Carcaterra.

In addition to his role on MNF, Riddick also contributes to ESPN’s signature NFL shows: Sunday NFL Countdown, Monday Night Countdown and NFL Live, as well as SportsCenter and ESPN Radio. He is a key contributor to ESPN’s coverage of Super Bowl week, the NFL Scouting Combine and the NFL Draft, where he has appeared on ESPN’s main set for the entirety of the event since 2016. Riddick made his NFL Draft television debut in 2015 when he joined ESPN’s main set for Round 1. He has also covered the NFL Draft on ESPN Radio (Rounds 2-3 in 2015 and Rounds 1-3 in 2014).

Riddick’s NFL front office experience spanned more than a decade with the Washington Football Team and Philadelphia Eagles. He started as a pro scout in Washington (2001-04) before being promoted to director of pro personnel, a position he held for three years (2005-07). Riddick then joined the Eagles in 2008 as a scout. He was named assistant director of pro personnel in 2009, and, a year later, he was promoted to director of pro personnel (2010-13).

A ninth round draft choice of the San Francisco 49ers in 1991, Riddick played seven NFL seasons at safety. His career included stints with the Atlanta Falcons (1992 and 1996), Cleveland Browns (1993-95) and Raiders (1998), totaling 172 tackles and two sacks.

A native of Quakertown, Penn., Riddick graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor of arts in economics. At Pitt, he was a four-year letterman, a two-time Academic All-America and a team captain his senior season. As an alumni, he was the keynote speaker at the Pitt Football Kickoff Luncheon in August 2018.

Riddick was a USA Today and Parade Magazine All-American at Pennridge High School as a prep senior.
