The Open Source Data Plane Development Kit Accelerating Network Performance
Users can significantly accelerate their network applications’ performance due to DPDK’s efficient run-to-completion model and optimized libraries that ensure all necessary resources are allocated upfront.
Data centers, network edge, network infrastructure, experimental applications and more
Efficient, scalable and flexible, facilitating rapid development and deployment
A comprehensive set to accelerate tasks across various computing environments
A broad spectrum of processors and Network Interface Controllers (NICs)
Designed to run on x86, POWER and ARM processors, DPDK is a set of libraries running mostly in Linux userland, with a FreeBSD port available for a subset of features. Licensed under the Open Source BSD License.
Some packet processing functions have been benchmarked up to hundreds million frames per second, using 64-byte packets with a PCIe NIC.
A big thank you to everyone who travelled from around the world to make this year’s event a resounding success!
