Flexible/Telecommuting Work Arrangements

Kent State is a residential and in-person living and learning university. As such, most employees will be working in person at their on-campus work site. Where feasible, Kent State strives to support the health and work/life balance for its faculty and staff. Most recently, Kent State has approved two important policies, the Administrative Policy Regarding Flexible Work Arrangements, see policy 3342-6-01.2, and an Administrative Policy Regarding Telecommuting, see policy 3342-6-01.3.

    Flexible work arrangements at Kent State support work/life balance for employees and are to be used for related purposes, including, but not limited to, participation in university-sponsored wellness activities/events, physical activity, child care, professional development, and to more effectively perform daily job responsibilities. 

  • Telecommuting Work Arrangement

    Telecommuting Work Arrangement

    The university has developed and finalized a telecommuting policy for employees, Kent State’s administrative policy on telecommuting,  effective Sept. 7, 2021. This policy applies to eligible full-time unclassified employees and full-time, non-represented classified employees on all Kent State campuses.
