Becoming the most resilient town
in Washington State

Building island resilience through disaster preparedness, community response, and sustainable recovery.

Bainbridge Prepares fosters collaboration among individuals, organizations, and local government, proactively enhancing the resilience of our island community through mutual aid.

We look at preparedness through a lens of love, rather than fear. Together we strive to establish Bainbridge Island as the most resilient town in Washington State . . . and beyond!

During a disaster such as an earthquake, the burden on our courageous first responders will focus on the core infrastructure of our town, leaving our neighborhoods to rely on themselves. This is where the strength of our community becomes crucial, with neighbors uniting to support one another through a shared objective of community care.

Let's create community resilience together!

At any given time our island community of 25,000 residents may have only a handful of police officers and firefighters on duty. In the event of a disaster like an earthquake, a larger social safety net is needed. That net is Bainbridge Prepares.
