Older LGBTQ+ adults’ lives can be rich and fulfilling as they age.  This presentation will explore the many ways health care professionals can support their patients by learning evidence-based best practices, applying cultural humility frameworks, and using a trauma-informed lens.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Demonstrate gender affirming and culturally safe skills appropriate for working with LGBTQ older adults
  2. Explain necessity of cultural humility in working with LGBTQ older adults
  3. Plan methods to incorporate best practices
